McDonald’s UK will this week begin putting calorie information on the menu boards of all of its 1,200 restaurants.
The burger chain is part of a voluntary government initiative called the ‘Responsibility Deal’ which aims to promote healthy eating and combat obesity by helping customers make more informed decisions when eating out.
Other restaurant operators signed up to the UK initiative include KFC, Pizza Hut, Pret a Manger and JD Wetherspoon.
