CHINA CRACKS DOWN ON FOOD SAFETY

In the past four months, more than 2,000 people have been arrested and more than 5,000 businesses closed in China as a result of food safety issues. Almost 6 million food manufacturing businesses were subjected to food safety inspections starting in April.
