US grocer SuperValu is to source all its top 20 wild-caught seafood from sustainable fisheries by 2015, in a move that extends its existing partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
SuperValu first pledged to assess its seafood supply in partnership with the WWF last year, and at the moment around 40% of its top 20 wild-caught seafood is from sustainable sources certified by the Marine Stewardship Council. This new commitment will see that number rise to 100%.
