A group is planning to open what it calls the first “package-free” grocery store in the U.S. this fall. The store would encourage customers to bring in their own reusable containers or use compostable carriers provided by the store.Plans call for the store to offer natural and organic groceries, bulk food items, and wine and beer, according to Brothers Lane LLC, owned by brothers Christian, Patrick and Joseph Lane.
